Sortland Entreprenør (Contractor) shares their experience with Interaxo
Lars Christian Langø, Project Manager at Sortland Entreprenør, shares his positive experience of using Interaxo in his project.

Sortland Entreprenør’s contract with Holmøy Maritime concerns the construction of a turnkey new salmon slaughterhouse on Liland outside Sortland. The project will be the largest in the history of both Sortland Entreprenør and the Kronstein Group, with a total value of almost NOK 500 million. Snøhetta is the architect for the innovative salmon slaughterhouse. The slaughterhouse will provide 60-80 jobs in Sortland. Sortland Entreprenør had to compete with nationwide contractors for for this project, and are proud to have been chosen thanks to good planning, progress, structure and transparency.
Lars Christian Langø, Project Manager at Sortland Entreprenør, tells us that Interaxo has been a valuable support system in both planning and execution. They are levelling up as users of the tool, and they consider it very helpful. When Sortland Entreprenør selected Interaxo as their standardised platform, their projects became more streamlined – ensuring that correct drawings are published, changes are captured, and the best possible decisions are made among the many clarifications that construction projects require.
Smarter working methods in between meetings
One of the major benefits of Interaxo is action lists that enable a more efficient and dynamic design process. The fact that the issues are available at all times, together with the ability to comment directly on the issues, ensures faster processing times. “The action lists act as a record for us, with everyone writing a little bit each. Some cases we only need to follow from the sidelines, or we can get involved when needed, in addition to making the decision on whether to close the case or not. The action list has replaced the need for traditional meeting minutes.”
“Communication and traceability in Interaxo save us a lot of time. At least on old cases when it’s been half a year and you have 30 minutes meetings in addition to emails and you have to try to recall what you wrote about that case. Now we can just bring up the action list and enter a keyword and you get all the information about e.g. that culvert. It’s much more beneficial than spending a lot of time searching through old documents and emails,” Lars Christian says.
Drawing management is also used, where they can check every single revision to see what impact it has on the project and whether it could lead to changes that need to be submitted to the subcontractor and possibly the client. “We get control of everything that changes. If there is anything that deviates from the requirements specification, we catch it,” Lars Christian adds. Models and information about collision checks are also stored in Interaxo, to keep everything in one place.
“We value the traceability that Interaxo offers. It’s a huge advantage to have all documentation easily accessible to everyone involved – as well as being able to easily check up on all project information.”
– Lars Christian Langø, Project Manager at Sortland Entreprenør
The easy access to project documentation is unmatched
Lars Christian appreciates receiving all change notifications directly in Interaxo, as they can easily check on subcontractors and builders this way. Instead of following everything up in a complicated Excel document, they now stricly use Interaxo for this task. He describes that everyday life at work has become much easier and more structured as a result.
Interaxo provides each and every contracting party with access to a separate change folder that gives a clear overview of status updates, communication records, and project changes. Lars Christian goes on to explain that they now contractually stipulate that all change notifications must be sent via Interaxo. If they receive any by email, it is immediately returned to sender with a request to enter it into Interaxo. “This provides an overview and control, and the contracted subcontractors also see the benefit of this,” he states. “That way, we never have any doubts about whether something has been done or not. It makes it difficult to say that ‘I haven’t received the information I needed to complete my task,’ because it’s all there – easily traceable in Interaxo.”
“Our greatest wish is to stick with this tool for future projects. Everything is gathered in one place, which leads to fewer communication channels and information archives – as well as less chaos altogether. Interaxo definitely enables us to work more efficiently, and utilise the materials we need to stay on track,” Lars Christian concludes.
