Interaxo newsletter: May 2026 news

A summer greeting from Steinar Svinø, our CEO

Dear customer,
You have just come out on the other side of a half-year period that could’ve broken less resilient teams. The challenges have been many and significant for most of you.

In the private sector – whether you work with commercial or residential buildings – the decline in projects, rising interest rates and costs have created a difficult situation. Many are merely clinging on to the hope of survival. Meanwhile, in defence, energy and infrastructure projects, the pace has been relentless. Energy shortages and defence preparation urgency have driven certain construction projects past what budgeting and planning can handle.

I’m crossing my fingers for things to resolve themselves – internationally, at home, and in the supply chains that are critical to all of us. During all of this, you have performed at your very best and truly deserve a proper break. We will do what we can to strengthen your delivery capability, and after the summer, we’re launching a new AI assistant to support you and your projects.

Sneak peek: Interaxo Intelligence – our shared AI journey starts now
Soon you’ll be able to speak directly with your project in Interaxo. You can ask the AI agent Interaxo Intelligence to assess a change order in line with the contract, or to find all documents, files and data related to a particular door on the third floor. Ask whether the technical clarification is actually a clarification or should be considered a change. After this summer, you’ll remain the driving force of project delivery – but Interaxo Intelligence is right by your side to help.

More information about this will be shared in August. Until then, we wish you a well-deserved summer holiday.

Yours sincerely,
Steinar Svinø

New map in Interaxo

New map solution for infrastructure projects

When you have to manually locate which culvert or which lane is being referred to, you risk wasting valuable time in your infrastructure project. But with the new map in Interaxo, locating field elements will be much easier and more efficient.

The project team shares the same interactive map, which is available offline with the Interaxo Capture app, and can link registrations, processes and documents to their exact location. This is particularly useful for elements that aren’t included in the BIM model, such as long, remote roads or underground facilities. Inspectors can log field observations with GPS, site managers can filter and locate the correct issue within seconds, and project managers can base decisions on live, up-to-date data rather than a PDF export from yesterday.

The report is saved as a PDF attachment in a dedicated meeting report entry in the selected folder. See the user guide for more information and guidance on how to use the new feature.
